Follow the experiences of a family of five moving from Chertsey, on the outskirts of London, to Perth, Australia. Moving anywhere can be an upheaval but looking for a better life abroad, this family took up the challenge and GB Liners were happy to make the move happen.
With three children, aged from teenagers to their early twenties, and a pet dog, there were many considerations. This particular removal lead came to GB Liners from a pet shipping partner who were to take care of the relocation of the family dog.

An international door-to-door removal throws up a host of detail with which GB Liners London team, drawing on their many years of experience, were on hand to assist and make the transition seamless.
A family of five will have many varied items to be packed. The crew were happy to assist and arrived prepared in advance to offer a full export wrapping service ready for shipping.
For this particular customer, special items to be shipped included canvasses, artwork, a TV and a large corner sofa. The TV was packed into a bespoke wooden crate to keep it secure whilst in transit.
The corner sofa required its own special attention to ensure it would arrive at its destination abroad in the same condition as it left the UK. The team were happy to provide and use the appropriate protection.
Fortunately, from the information provided by the Removal Surveyor on his two visits to the house, the crew were able to deal with the wealth of items that were going to be shipped abroad. Our crews are very experienced and easily adapt to the task in hand ensuring that the level of protection is appropriate for whatever item they are requested to pack. For this move, all the items were to be shipped in a 40ft container. All in all, packing took place over three days in November.
Unique Challenges
There were also considerations outside of the property relating to access. As their goods had to be loaded via the garden, smaller vans were required. Once loaded, the vans transported everything to our West London warehouse where the goods were then transferred into the 40ft container for shipment.

A busy three days for our movers who the customer described as “Fantastic men, a credit to the company.”
