A Local Move – Removals Services In Leeds

25th January, 2024

At GB Liners, our team are experts when it comes to house moving – whether that be within the UK, or further afield in Europe or other international removals. However, for this particular client, we didn’t have quite so far to travel!

Despite moving from the market town of Pudsey, in Leeds, to another property in the same town, it was a fresh start for our client nonetheless. After working within a local diocese in the town, our client received an exciting opportunity for a career change to working for a charity organisation.

With their new role, a new home became a necessity, as the client was previously living in church accommodation and needed to relocate to their own property. With a new job and new home on the horizon, our client certainly had a lot on their plate – luckily, GB Liners team of home removals specialists in Leeds were ready to lend a helping hand!

Packing Up A Home

Packing an entire home’s worth of belongings is no small task. Along with all the materials needed, it can be a difficult task to know how to pack your belongings in the safest, and most efficient, way to prevent damage when transporting to a new destination.

For this move, our client had several items that required expert care, including an upright piano and a greenhouse that the client had previously dismantled. To ensure their items made it to their new home safe and sound, our Leeds team were on hand to offer a full packing service, including the dismantling of four beds.

With our client’s belongings packed into 150 boxes and ready for transport, it was time to set off to the new home! Our client was a returning customer for GB Liners, as we helped them move into the church accommodation six years ago. For their previous move, we were able to get a large van straight into the grounds of the property, however, over time, trees in the grounds have grown and matured enough to present a problem with accessing the home.

To combat this, we used our smallest vehicle to shuttle the client’s belongings between both properties. Taking place in December 2023, weather conditions weren’t ideal for a house move, however, over the course of the move, we were able to safely see all boxes and items of furniture to their new home.

The Outcome

After a successful move, the client was able to settle into their new home, pleased with the work carried out by our Leeds removals team.

“The move went really well. The crew put everything where requested and they were on time both days and finished in good time. Boxes were collected quickly after the move was completed, which is pleasing. No issues with any items at load or unload, and the crew were great!”

After unpacking all of the client’s belongings at the destination and collecting the boxes, the move was complete, and the client was ready for a new beginning.
