In this instance, our client was a returning customer, an ex-church minister whose time living in a diocese owned property in Cowley, Cheltenham had come to an end and whose next home would be in the lively market town of Central Cirencester. Keen as ever, GB Liners’ Cirencester team were on-hand to assist in a seamless move which was made all the easier as the property in Cirencester was already owned by the customer, meaning there was no requirement to await keys on completion day.
Removals and Storage Services
Attention to detail was paramount on this move as not everything amongst the large volume of effects was moving from Cowley to Cirencester. Some items were for containerised storage, some for self-storage and the remainder would go direct to the property; so a multi-directional move which would need specialised care to ensure everything went in the correct direction was required. GB Liners are a great choice in this respect as their self-storage facility in Cirencester provides individuals with easy access to their belongings and we can equally provide longer-term containerised storage for effects that customers need to store away but do not need to access. Home removal, self-storage and containerised storage – three services in one removal!

Planning The Move
Moving from a ground and first-floor property to a three-storey house in Cirencester with restricted access, the well-experienced moving crew were prepared to shuttle the goods off the main removal van using a smaller vehicle to gain access to the house.

The customer required a partial packing service. GB Liners’ Removal Consultant had arranged for new cartons to be delivered in advance so that the customer could prepare their part of the packing. Even on a domestic move across a fairly short distance, extra care for valuables and breakables is required. To this end, GB Liners brought specialised materials on moving day for breakables such as china, glass, lamps and pictures which they prepared in an expert manner, simplifying the process for the customer whilst giving them additional assurance their possessions would remain intact. In addition, there were some wardrobes to be dismantled and reassembled by GB Liners. Being experts in export wrapping, we were able to provide the mirrored doors on the wardrobes with the extra protection they require. The customer’s precious oil paintings were covered in wax paper before being packed and their leather sofas which were going into storage from the Cirencester property were protected with a wrap of leather film and paper covers.

The Outcome
Despite all the complexities that this domestic move entailed with the close attention to detail to ensure everything was in the right place at the right time and well protected, this was a highly successful move resulting in yet another extremely happy customer.
