Your ideal home should reflect your lifestyle, creating the perfect space for your needs. However, at certain points in your life, those needs might shift, meaning a change of scenery may be necessary! For this moving story, our client’s choice to move certainly reflected their desire for a home that suits their current lifestyle. After retiring, they decided to downsize from their larger house into something more appropriate for the next stage of life.

For this move, however, our clients are yet to find their dream home. Our Cirencester removals team were on hand to help, however, with packing up their home and moving belongings into storage at our Cirencester warehouse to keep them safe for the day when they can be moved to their new destination.

Transporting to Storage

With no end destination in mind at present, the goal for moving day was to get all of the items out of their current property in the hamlet of  Hannington Wick in Swindon and into storage. To achieve this, our clients opted for a full packing service, courtesy of the Cirencester moving team. With their current property being very large, with outbuildings that also needed to be packed and cleared, this was no small task.

With several delicate and high-value items to not only transport but also ensure safety during their time in storage, specialist care was needed. We provided bespoke, specially-built wooden crates to store high-value artwork and preserve its beauty. Additionally, the client needed support with moving a beautiful grandfather clock. To move the clock, it was expertly export-wrapped by our team – a method of wrapping that combines protective packing materials for the utmost protection where standard methods aren’t sufficient. We also provided specialist packing materials for other delicate items, such as breakables, ornaments, and silver, and a large four-poster bed.

Our team encountered an issue with restricted access to the property, due to a tight turn from the lane leading to it and a tree avenue that overhangs the driveway. As our client did not wish to cut back the trees, we required a smaller vehicle to tranship the items to our larger van ready to be transported to our warehouse.

The House Hunt Continues!

With all items successfully transported into storage, our client is still looking for a place to buy that suits their needs. Whilst they look for their new dream home, however, they can rest assured that their belongings are safely stored in our warehouse, ready for the day of the big move.

We expect to hold on to their belongings for a little while longer yet, and remain in contact with our client to ensure we are prepared and updated on their progress. On behalf of all at GB Liners, we wish them luck in finding their perfect property!
